Meet Kate

Hello, I’m Kate, an experienced science tutor with 19 years of teaching experience in both state and private schools in London. Previous roles include Head of Department, Lead Practitioner, MDV (Medicine, Dentistry & Veterinary) Pathway co-ordinator and past examiner. I hold a degree in Biomedical Science (specialising in Neuroscience) from King’s College London.

My passion is making complex science topics easy to understand and enjoyable in order to boost results. I focus on interactive, engaging sessions that emphasise key concepts, exam techniques, and building confidence. With a caring and supportive approach, I create a relaxed but driven atmosphere. I love tutoring and try to infect others with my energy and passion for the subject!

As a parent myself, I understand the importance of finding a tutor who genuinely cares. I’ve witnessed the incredible impact the right support can have.

I live in Beckenham with my husband, two daughters, and two cats (one of whom often joins me on my lap while I tutor!). When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me spending time with my family, at the gym, or catching up with friends.

If you’re looking for a passionate and caring tutor who knows how to make learning science both enjoyable and effective, I’d love to hear from you!
